About LEOLAND

LEOLAND is a modern large sports and entertainment center in Lviv, which is positioned as the largest of its kind in Ukraine. It was created for active recreation, development and entertainment for the whole family.

The complex combines:

• educational and entertainment areas
• sports sector and sports clothing stores
• food hall, restaurants and cafes
• spaces for events
• large playgrounds and theme parks for children

In LEOLAND, children can play, have fun, learn and try themselves in various activities (educational stations, football, tennis, dance), and adults can play sports, relax or visit the fitness club, SPA area and swimming pools.

What business challenges needed to be solved?

Evaluate current IT systems to make strategic decisions on further development.

Prerequisites

At this stage of LEOLAND's development, an external independent evaluation of the current systems was required. Limited terms – by the beginning of next year, a reasoned understanding was needed whether to extend annual licenses for the use of ERP systems.

IT infrastructure tasks

• Assess the current state of the infrastructure for compliance with business needs
• Plan the development of the IT infrastructure for the short-term, medium-term and long-term period and the project map (IT Transformation Roadmap)
• Assess the need to upgrade and modify existing products to improve performance and manageability
• Assess the reliability and fault tolerance of IT systems

Tasks regarding the ERP system

• Evaluate Microsoft Business Central for compliance of configured business processes with the company's business model and feasibility of further use
• Assess the level of data security against unauthorized access and compliance with privacy policies
• Find optimization opportunities: process automation, customized dashboards for managers, improved reporting

Decision

Taking into account the customer's request, we offered the development of an IT strategy as an option – which included only the part about the IT infrastructure and the evaluation of the feasibility of using the ERP system. The project lasted 2 months in several key stages.

Results of the project

As part of the project, LEOLAND received the following documents:

• A comprehensive analytical report assessing the current state of infrastructure and key business systems
• IT infrastructure development strategy for 2-3 years: target IT environment architecture, server capacity modernization plan, fault tolerance recommendations, security and backup development model, road map of IT projects with prioritization
• A document with the results of a GAP analysis of the compliance of the Microsoft Business Central ERP system
• A list of technical and functional improvements to Microsoft Business Central ERP with an assessment of complexity, impact on business, prioritization (critical / important / optional) and an approximate budget estimate

During the implementation of the project, the Customer received the following results

• A comprehensive analytical report with an assessment of the current state of the infrastructure
• IT infrastructure development strategy for 2-3 years with IT Transformation Roadmap
• GAP analysis of compliance of Microsoft Business Central ERP system
